WorkSafe QLD Training Video

A short film has been created by WorkSafe QLD, which looks at ways to influence safe work behaviour in young workers. This is especially handy for those dive sites which employ newly graduated ADAS divers.

New Zealand Boating Accident Tragedy

In February 2014, a propeller accident led to the death of an experienced recreational diver. The following articles highlight the importance of adequate risk management for all types of diving and the need for management of boats operating near divers, including the consideration of effective propeller guarding.

New Zealand Health & Safety Reform

WorkSafe New Zealand is currently undergoing a significant Health & Safety reform in order to improve conditions and safety for all workers. One component of the reform is the increased Duty of Care responsibilities of employers, who are now known as “Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU)”. More information about the reform can be found on the WorkSafe New Zealand website.
