Support for Students

ADAS has most of its accredited courses approved by Centrelink. This means if you are an Australian student studying at an ADAS- accredited Training Establishment you may be able to access Centrelink benefits for the duration of your study.

Please note that onshore supervisor training is currently not eligible for Centrelink assistance.

To apply for Centrelink support while studying, you will need to:

  1. Download an application form from the Centrelink website
  2. Include the Institution Code for ADAS: 2P924.
  3. All ADAS course codes can be found at training.gov.au

If you are currently enrolled in a course you can still apply to Centrelink—payments will start from the date the application is lodged.

  1. Download an application form from the Centrelink website
  2. Include the Institution Code for ADAS: 2P924.

Studying Outside of Australia

Students who are considering undertaking ADAS training outside of Australia may also be eligible to receive Centrelink payments during the training course.  In these cases, you will need to supply additional information to Centrelink to support your application.

Payments for training outside of Australia is only available for ADAS training establishments which are approved to run Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.  Please check this information with the training establishment before you submit an application to Centrelink.

More information about gaining Centrelink payments while studying outside of Australia can be found on the Centrelink website.
