The new year kicked off with a week of intensive Trainer training held in New Zealand, engaging candidates from diverse hyperbaric sectors including defence and hyperbaric tunnelling. In addition, new training, policy and study resources have been published and provided to ADAS schools, and four new training school applications are being assessed and reviewed.
Safety
Two safety events have been reported in recent IMCA Safety Flashes, and two case studies relating to the severe danger of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) exposure have been published. In addition, the United States Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) has published a Safety Alert relating to heat related illnesses occurring offshore.
