There has been an incident of a dropped load during overboarding for subsea operations, and a report on positive changes at one IMCA contractor in the use of digital tools to give all crew and office personnel 24/7 access to essential safety and operational updates.
New ADAS Cards
This month ADAS will introduce new and improved ADAS cards.
The new cards have been developed to provide more detail about a person’s certifications while also reducing the number of cards. The formatting of the cards has been modernised and makes the relevant detail clearer and includes a series of new security measures.
As is currently the case, employers are invited to contact ADAS to verify the qualifications that a potential employee has at any time, especially if there is any doubt about the validity of the ADAS card being presented.
People with existing ADAS cards who wish to upgrade to the new card can apply for a replacement card by completing an online application form.
