IMCA Resilience Awareness Program

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) launched a Resilience Awareness Program in January 2018 which is tailored for people in the marine contracting industry and aims to assist organisations and individuals to cope with challenging issues and to build resilience when faced with difficult situations.

The programme is designed to explain what resilience is and why it is important to us; how to think and act safely under pressure; how to cope better with change; the importance of physical wellbeing; the importance of mental wellbeing; and how to make good, safe decisions.

The program was developed with the support of major Oil and Gas contractors including Shell, Allseas, Heerema Marine Contractors, McDermott, International, Saipem, Subsea 7 and TechnipFMC, and aims to provide support for people in the marine contracting industry.

Six video-based modules are included in the program with topics ranging from understanding resilience and change, taking decisive action, keeping things in perspective, and taking care of yourself.

The program is free to access and utilise with resources available for both participants and facilitators from the IMCA website.
