Change of ADAS Board Membership

ADAS and the ADAS Board welcomes two new members and farewells one long-standing member.

New Members

In August, two new members were recruited to the ADAS Board of Directors: Edwin Tan and Mike Pascoe.

Edwin Tan

Edwin Tan is the Managing Director of Singapore based Hydropro Pte Ltd and has over 35 years experience in the commercial diving industry.  Edwin began his career with the Republic of Singapore Navy in 1983 and over time branched out to commercial diving with a strong involvement in Health and Safety specific to commercial diving.  In 2010 he founded and chaired the Commercial Diving Association (Singapore) which improved diving practices and implemented regulations which continue to be adhered to.

Mike Pascoe

Mike Pascoe has 15 years experience in commercial diving, supervision and project management.  He is a qualified ADAS Training and Assessment Manager (ATAM) and is the co-director/manager of OMNE Marine Training Centre (OMTC) in New Zealand. Mike is actively involved in the development of training and operational Standards in both New Zealand and Australia, and sits on the New Zealand Diving Industry Advisory Group (DIAG) while also being a consultant to the New Zealand Ministry of Defence and New Zealand Navy for Dynamically Positioned (DP) diving and Remotely Operated Vehicle systems.

ADAS and the ADAS Board warmly welcome Edwin and Mike and look forward to many years of input and insight from both.  More information about both can be found on the Board of Directors page of the ADAS website.

Retiring Member

Alan Strong

Sadly, one long-standing Board member, Alan Strong, retires from the Board at the end of this year.  Alan has been a member since September 2012 and has been proactive in all areas of the Board in that time.  He has consistently volunteered to be part of Board Working Groups, and has been strongly involved in the strategic planning of ADAS over that time.  His drive and passion will be missed, but ADAS and the ADAS Board wish him well on his future plans.
