DMT certificates during the COVID-19 pandemic
Due the COVID-19 pandemic, we are aware that it will be difficult over the coming months to undertake DMT courses.
To compensate for the reduced availability of training, and based on the timing of the impact of COVID-19 in Australia and New Zealand, ADAS has extended the expiry date of all ADAS DMT certificates that expired on or after the 1st of February 2020 to a common expiry date of the 30th of September, 2020.
This extension will allow all DMT holders to renew their certifications within the usual parameters (3 months before 8 weeks after) the 30th of September. Please note that there will be a large demand on training establishments in that 5-month window of opportunity period so please plan ahead.
It will not be necessary to replace your ADAS card, however, should you wish to do so it can be requested via the following link: https://adas.org.au/forms/adas-card-replacement/. There is a $30 administrative charge for replacement cards issued.
This situation will be monitored as the COVID-19 situation progresses and will be reconsidered as further restrictions on training are identified.
