CPD scheme for diving supervisors

As many offshore supervisors will now be aware, IMCA is introducing a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme for diving supervisors after a successfully completing trials for the App based scheme.  

ADAS had been in discussions with IMCA throughout the development and trial of the CPD and supports the concept of continued professional development and currency of competence. 

If you are an ADAS diving supervisor, you may be wondering how this affects you. At present, there are no obligations to use the App to maintain your ADAS licence. IMCA has planned an 18-month bedding in process which will give users time to become acquainted with the system. As of January 2022, IMCA and ADAS will only recognise offshore diving supervisors who maintain their CPD records using the App. 

The mechanics of renewal are currently being coordinated and will be advised to all offshore supervisors once established. To try the app, download from Google Play here. Currently, however, ADAS renewal is still as it has been in the past.
