ADAS school Professional Divers Training Academy (PDTA), part of the Professional Divers Group, has announced the closure of their ADAS training operations after 14 years.
New ADAS School
ADAS is very excited to announce the accreditation of a new ADAS training facility located in Tasmania. Commercial Dive Academy (CDA) became operational in February 2018 and is located on the sites previously used by The Underwater Centre Tasmania (TUCT) before its closure.
CDA is currently offering the following courses:
- SCUBA to 30m diver (Part 1)
- SSBA to 30m diver (Part 2)
- SSBA to 50m diver (Part 3)
- Onshore supervisor (all levels), and
- Chamber Operator
CDA has informed ADAS that it intends to extend its training scope in the near future to include Closed Bell (Part 4) and offshore supervisor training and assessment. At present amendments to equipment are being made to facilitate that application.
Two ADAS courses have been completed at CDA since February, with very positive feedback being received from both students and trainers alike.
ADAS congratulates the managers of CDA on their hard work and determination in creating this school and for helping to fill the gap left by the closure of TUCT.
