It is with great sadness that we announce the recent loss of long-term ADAS trainer Bevin Baker who passed away suddenly at his home in Tasmania.
Bevin had been actively involved in the commercial diving industry since first gaining his ADAS Part 3 diver certification in 1988. He later went on to gain a Part 4 certification before continuing his journey into supervisory fields and gaining an Offshore Air supervisor certification in 2003.
Bevin had been involved with ADAS for many years, most recently as an ADAS Training and Assessment Manager (ATAM) with The Underwater Centre Tasmania. Over the years Bevin was very involved in the development of ADAS training programs and took a great deal of pride in being involved in so many aspects of the occupational diving industry.
There are no doubt many of you out there who trained with Bevin and will remember him fondly.
All of us here at ADAS pass on our sincerest sympathy and condolences to Bevin’s family.
